Having been incorporated in 1997 by its shareholders, namely Turk Ytong, the German Ytong Holding International and Sanko Holding, Gaziantep Ytong is the first foreign company in which Sanko had a share of capital.

Gaziantep Ytong, which has been established at an area of 80.000 m2 in total with a closed area of 10.000 m2, in Gaziantep, has started manufacturing in 1998. Gaziantep Ytong, which is one of the 6 plants of Ytong in Turkey, carries out manufacturing under the trademark YTONG by making use of the state of the art and matchless manufacturing technology.

Gaziantep Ytong, which carries out manufacturing in conformance with the TS EN 771-4 Autoclaved Aerated Concrete Units and TS 453 Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Building Elements standards, manufactures G2/04 and G4/06 Unreinforced Building Blocks, Reinforced Building Elements and Ytong Adhesive Bond, Alsecco Mill-Mixed Plaster and Masterkim Construction Chemicals.

Gaziantep Ytong, which manufactures products that meet the specifications required to be satisfied by the building materials of the modern era, has a capacity of 450.000 m3, on yearly basis, in terms of the block materials. Gaziantep Ytong, which holds the TS EN ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems Certificate and the TS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems Certificate and the 14100 Environmental Management Systems Certificate and also the CE Certificate, provides 7% of the autoclaved aerated concrete manufacturing capacity of Turkey.

The trademark Ytong has become identified with the modern building systems built by making use of the autoclaved aerated concrete, and it is recognized with a permanent and reliable image all around the world.  Ytong, which is the autoclaved aerated concrete manufacturer that has the highest production volume in the world and the widely-known brand for the building materials thanks to its 77 plants in 21 countries, ranked among the most reputable brands of the century in October 2009 in Germany.
